Yes, it rains A LOT- in the winter. But the summers are beautiful! They are not too hot-not too cold. Even the winters are mild! We have been here for over three years and I have enjoyed living here. Those who gripe just don't give things a chance. My daughter has had a wonderful experience with the her school on post. As far as the comment about the high schools, my public h.s. in Pennsylvania didn't have any kind of conferences with the teachers either. They don't do that in h.s. And,the open house they have is the time where you are supposed to meet the teachers. I have not had any problem getting help for my special needs son, either. You just have to know where to go and who to call.
I absolutely LOVE the fact that they hav e a family fitness center that offers FREE child care while you work out. They have an awesome choice of classes to take as well as typical gym equipment and an infoor track. They even have FREE personal trainers!
So, while this was not the first place I would have chosen to move my family; I have made the most out of it by seeking opportunities and groups in which to get involved. It is all that you make it.
