I have never been to a such a horrible post in my husband's entire career and he will be retiring very soon. I would not recommend living on post. Since the civilian company "Pinnacle" took over housing I have had nothing but huge problems. It took me 8 work orders just to get my dishwasher fixed and my husband coming home from TDY for them to finally fix it. It's like they take advantage of the wives when the husband's are gone, especially if you don't get bitchy enough with them (sorry for the language there but it's true.) My house was hit by a vehicle so they had a contractor come in a fix some damage, he told me it was not safe to live in any longer. However, Pinnacle as usual bandaide fixes things (the house is cracking all over - they had him just patch the cracks and see what would happen from there). They makes me feel really safe thank god I don't have children, right? Most recently, we had a storm come through and they couldn't figure out who the electric company was to call it in. I by chance had the number from when the military still had housing so I was able to contact the local electric company. I really don't think the government made a wise choice when they put civilian in charge of housing. Then it seems like now no one is there to watch over them to see how they are doing things NOW and treating us NOW. When the team was in looking at the cracks they discovered there was no insulation in my attic, the previous contractor from years ago had just stuffed it in garbage bags and threw it up in the attic, it's the kind that's supposed to be blown in. Instead of spending a few dollars on a few rolls of insulation Pinnacle hired a local contractor to take the old nasty insulation, who knows how long it had been sitting in the bags up there, and they had him throw it around and spread it around with his hands up in m
