Eglin AFB

My husband and I came here as part of EOD training. I can say that all and all it's not an awful place to live, I just feel that it doesn't have as much to offer as I'd hoped. Since coming here I have made only a handful of friends. I tried to join as many Mom's groups as possible and got mixed results. I know this isn't technically the South but I have heard this area referred to as lower Alabama, however the whole "Southern Hospitality" ideology doesn't exist, at least for me. In general I think if you had friends or family living here it probably wouldn't be so bad but bottom line it's exspensive because of the tourists, not very friendly, and limited in it's activies (that includes price and distance). The beach is of course lovely but that about it, for me at least. It seems that the goo
