Fort Wainwright

I live on Wainwright, and have been here for 3 years. We were re-located from Northtown to Southern Cross, because there was too much damage to our pipes; so asbestoes was a danger. Housing was slow about relocating us, and where we moved was horrid. I HAVE RAW SEWAGE FLOODS IN MY BASEMENT! It has happened 4 times in the 1 year we've been in this house. Housing did send a crew here every time to clean the feces and whatnots, but the fumes added to the obvious stench, was unbearable. We were told we could go to Billiting, but we would not be compensated for our pets! I'd gladly move off post at my own cost if it wasn't for the high prices here in Fairbanks and North Pole. Kamish Clinic has always been decent. Basset has been okay except for the Maternity Ward. The PX and Commissary are pretty good. They are much cheaper than the stores in town. The sense of "common courtesy" is not good though. People allow their dogs to use your yard for a restroom... they dump trash in other's yards. I've found the civillians in town are really nice though. My biggest complaint is the housing. Like I said, I have RAW SEWAGE FLOODS, and I've been moved because of the asbestoes. That's disgusting and scary.
