Call me old fashion. Call me a prude. Call me whatever........but I just don't understand the whole concept that it is okay to wear your "pj's", flannel pants, tshirt complete with slippers look out in public to "run" to the grocery store?????????? Am I missing something?

No you are not, I have seen it multiple times and it wasn't like it was a few things to pick up or early in the morning, this was after 10/11 am, even in the afternoon. Once I saw them in the commissary she was wearing a camosille, pj bottoms and flip flops while the child was properly dressed. I came so close to saying something. I remember when there was a dress code of sorts for the commissary & exchange. Pj's would definitely not be allowed and nor should they be, this is something that you sleep in and why would you want to give that impression of the way you dress because who knows who or what you will run into.

Nope I don't think it is. I don't like seeing tight fitting pants on men or women or sweat pants. I don't need nor care what you got, cover it up.

HEY - I was TDY in the Air Force and stopped off at Camp Leguene in NC to visit the PX. There where three of us in the old fatigues, well we didn't stay long. The manager came over to us said that we had to leave because of our fatigues. He said we could go down the street to another small PX for the troops. We also wasn't allowerd in the commisary. Wow, have things changed today!

Ron - I believe you were at a Marine base correct? If so they do usually still have dress codes for the commissary/MCX in what is allowed and what isn't. They are very strict on those things along with others, I have friends who lived on a Marine base, their neighbors got written up for the grass being too high.
