This recipe is called "Dump Cake" because you dump in all the ingredients. There is no mixing or measuring required. Your family and friends will never know that it was so simple. Take one can of cherry pie filling and dump into an ungreased 13 X 9 baking pan. Take one can of undrained crushed pineapple (20 oz) and dump on top of that. Empty one box of yellow cake mix on top of that. Sprinkle on chopped pecans (optional). Pour one stick of melted butter or margarine on top & bake at 350 degrees for about 35 minutes (or until it is a nice golden brown). Delicious served warm or cold. Our friends and family enjoy this cake so much, that it has become my trademark! |
