Chicken or Turkey A La King

Recipe: 1 6oz. can sliced, mushrooms, drained (reserve 1/4 c liquid) 1/2 c diced green pepper 1/2 c butter or margarine 1/2 c flour 1 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp pepper 2 c light cream 1 14oz can chicken broth 2 c cubed chicken (or left over turkey from Thanksgiving works well, too) 1 4oz jar pimento, chopped In large skillet, cook and stir mushrooms and green peper in butter for 5 minutes. Blend in flour, salt and pepper. Cook over low heat, stirring until bubbly. Remove from heat. Stir in bream, broth, and mushroom liquid. Heat to a boil stirring constantly. Stir in chicken and pimento; heat through. Seve hot in toast cups. Toast Cups: heat oven to 375. Trim crust from 6 peices of thinly sliced bread;spread one side with soft butter. Press buttered side down into muffin cups. Bake 12 minutes or until lightly toasted.
