Sweet Potato-Pecan Pie

Recipe: Sweet Potato-Pecan Pie ------------------------------------------------------ 1-cup sugar, 2-tsp. cornstarch, 1/2-tsp. salt, 1/4-tsp cinnamon, 1/4-tsp. nutmeg, 1/8-tsp. cloves, 3/4--cup dark corn syrup, 3-tbl. butter or margarine, 1-cup mashed sweet potatoes, 1/2-cup chopped pecans, 3-eggs, slightly beaten, 1-9 inch pie shell, ---------------------------------------------------- Preheat oven to 400 degrees. combine all ingredients, except eggs and pie shell, in a sauce pan. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, for 3-5 minutes until thickened. Remove from heat, Add eggs. Mix well. Spoon into pie shell. Bake for 15 minutes. Reduce heat to 350 degrees and bake for one hour.
