Recipe: This favorite Southern Style Appetizer Spread is simple to prepare and can be make a day ahead so it's ready to eat immediately... Total Prep Time is only 20 minutes, and makes 16 Servings... INGREDIENTS: 1-lb. uncooked medium shrimp, peeled, and deveined. 1 cup butter, softened. 4 medium green onions, chopped (1/4 cup). 1 tablespoon chopped fresh dill weed. 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice. 2 teaspoons red pepper sauce. 1/4 teaspoon table salt. 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground pepper. and Garnish: Fresh Chives... DIRECTIONS: Step 1: in a 3-qt. saucepan, heat 4 cups water to boiling. Add scrimp. cover and return to a boil; reduce heat. Simmer uncovered 3 to 5 minutes or until shrimp are pink; drain. Cool... Step 2: In a food processor, place shrimp. Cover; process, using quick on-and-off motions, until coarsely chopped. Add remaining ingredients, except chives, Cover and process until smooth...
