Be Not Afraid!!

Seoul, South Korea

Five months ago I was asking myself, after 19 great years in the Army, why were we being punished with an assignment to Korea! I mean, the chance of a PCS here wasn't even a glimmer on the horizon. WOW...I was so wrong!!! This is as close to "Mayberry" living as we've ever had. School's are awesome and thats saying alot since we just came from incredible Fairfax County Virginia schools. Movies are free and we have a COLA that can't be beat. We've had some great overseas duty...England, Germany, Italy...but this is the best for the family so far. There are so many choices for on-base sports and other lessons for the kids. This is the first place that I've been able to say to my three, "Be back in time for dinner.", and let them out to have time for play on their own without fear. What independance they've gained! The USO here is great, there are tons of on-base places to eat, and the Dragon Hill resort is over the top! So if you're looking for some family time and don't want to be seperated from your spouse for a year, come to Yongson in Seoul. It really is an answered prayer for us. All we wanted was to stay together for awhile without back to back deployments and God had to send us here to do it! <><
