My husbands first duty station was Fort Bragg, and when we first got there I hated it, I guess because it was different then it grew on me and I would go back in a second. The base is huge and has anything you could want, and it is not a far drive to Myrtle beach or to the mountains, Id give it an A+. Fort Drum, I personaly do not like it, some people do some don't, Really cold in the winter, lots of snow and ice so you are inside for about 7 months out of the year, and the surrounding area is really rundown. They are getting more stores and resturaunts here though, but i personaly can't wait to leave.
