Fort Hood is HUGE. 2 cm, 2 pxs, very nice, Had to wait for housing for a couple of months, and lived out in Killeen -but thehousing was worth the wait-got a place in Chaffee Village- yard is big, I even have a couple of good sized trees, and the house is very spacious In killeen, we lived in this apt complex, good deal for 2 bedrooms, but the neighborhood i didn't like- our apartment was broken into, stole my tv dinners along with some electronics, and they even had the courtesy to lock the door when they left, how nice. The policeman was like "if we see a crack head walking down the street with some stuff, we can check to see if its yours" - i was like, did that cop just say crackhead??? lol But it seemed too routine for him, so i was glad to get out of that place. I love Fort Hood so far, looking forward to the summer. I actually got to see more of the base then i thought i would - i work in North Fort Hood w/ MWR, i get to see the ranges, tanks, and helicopters on the daily, its pretty cool. where else can you do that! I didn't get to check out BLORA yet because its closed for swimming right now, but i hear great things. Killeen is very businessy, and my little girl loves the shopping. Theres lots to do- very nice youth centers, the child development centers here rock! The people are very nice, i don't know who those others are talking to - some drivers aren't considerate but thats everywhere, most are just rushing to get somewhere, my advice is to take it easy. You have to search for a good paying job, because most i saw where like 6 bucks or so, but once you find it, im telling ya its worth it! READ all the newspapers you can get your hands on, you find out so much! LOTS of GREAT places to EAT! I wish i had four hands so i ...could give this place a big thumbs up!
