Im currently in VA after being based at Schofield for 6 years with my husband. All of our 3 girls were born at Tripler Hospital in Hawaii.. I loved it there, i miss it sooo sooo much!1 The housing is a little old, but they are building new ones, There is a new px that is very nice. The commissary is good. Childcare is exspensive, schools arent the best. Theres tons to do. We loved there for 6 years and i can think of many many things we didnt get to do. Weather is wonderful, rainy in winter season but still nice. BUGs are just a part of Hawaii, learn to deal with it, and live with it. Traffic isnt too bad unless u get caught in it around 5 then it can b a little slow. I loved it!!! Im excited to go to our next base and our next adventure but sad to not be back in Hawaii, who knows maybe we will get lucky and we will get stationed there again.
