Davis-Monthan AFB

This base is the worst we have been to yet. The housing is not bad and the commissary is good, but the bx is small and understocked. I have never been anywhere as unfriendly as this. People never say hi or even make eye contact with others. And for this being a warm climate you would think the pool would be open on the weekdays and free to us. Also, I don't know who established the operating hours for the commissary, bx and shopette but it must have been my grandma who is in bed by 7 pm. I personally like to be able to shop when I want to, even if that is running to the shopette at 3 am. If you want to go to a good stateside base McChord is your best bet. As for overseas, we have been to Andersen in Guam and it was fairly nice. Plus they have many renovation plans in the works. And Guam itself is fun for those who like water sports and going out.
