Fairchild AFB is located outside of the dirtiest small town i've ever seen, and I don't think Spokane is much better. The drivers are rude, the people are nasty and you have to be afraid to go out alone. The base is very small with really nothing outstanding about it. The people are self absorbed and rude. There is no helping one another out here. The commissary is small and dirty, as well as the BX. There are hardly any family activities, and there are even less activites for children. I would say think twice before wanting to come here. It may sound good on paper, but in person it's the worst place I've ever lived.
