Guten Tag

Landstuhl, Germany

My husband is stationed at Landstuhl,Germany. It is a beautiful country and there are lots to do. Landstuhl is a rather small base, not a lot to do, but considering we are close to Ramstein AFB and Vogelweh, there is plenty of military support. The Landstuhl Regional Med Center is on this base and it is GIGANTIC! There is a shopette inside the hospital and also a food court. In Germany, there are plenty of castles to visit and there is always a fest of some type in some city close to where you will be living. The children love these fests as do the men (if they are beer lovers). Germany is very family oriented. One favorite that I like is learning the different German Holidays. The food is excellent also. High in calories, but with the volksmarching that you will be happy to participate in, you will not keep the weight on. Landstuhl Base has a School age service program, and a teen center. The school is located on the base, it is an elemetary/middle school combined. The elementary school is on the 1st floor with the middle school on the 2nd. There are lots of school activities. The high school is located on Ramstein AFB, about a 15 minute bus ride. Look up the high school online to find out the exciting things the school offers. I would love to answer any questions one might have about the area, feel free to write.
